Toshiba Says 25 Percent Of All Laptops Will Have SSDs By 2011.

  Seoul (South Korea) - Toshiba Semiconductor President Shozo Saito predicted that all laptops will be using solid state drives by 2011, reports Tech On. He noted this in a speech at a seminar hosted by IDEMA Japan. Currently, the MacBook Air is available with a 64GB solid state drive (SSD), but it costs a whopping 3,000 bucks. But this price-capacity ratio will change if Saitoð€™s predictions are on target. Lenovo doesn"t just continue IBM"s notebook and desktop PC business, but also has begun launching new monitor products. The most recent addition to the existing product line is ThinkVision L171p, a 17" desktop LCD that can rotate its screen into portrait or landscape mode. According to the company, the portrait mode enables users to view an entire 8 ÷½- by 11" page on-screen at once.
