Samsung Unveils 14.6 Megapixel DSLR Camera.

Ridgefield Park (NJ) - Samsung announced a new flagship digital SLR camera, which will be positioned above its GX10: The GX20 increases the maximum image resolution from 10.2 to 14.6 megapixels and enables users to take an "unlimited number" of JPEG images in a continuous shooting mode. According to the manufacturer, the GX20 has a proprietary CMOS sensor, providing the 14-megapixel resolution as well as support for 14-bit RAW images. Besides features such as ISO settings up to 6400, a shutter speed of up to 1/4000, a 2.7" LCD, shake-reduction as well as a "double" dust removal system for the image sensor, Samsung claims that GX20 owners can take as many pictures as they want in a continuous shooting mode. This feature, of course, depends on how much storage capacity is available and it only works for JPEG images. When using RAW mode, up to nine images are supported, with up to three images per second. The Samsung DSLR is scheduled for a March availability and will be priced at $1400 MSRP. The camera is compatible with Samsung Schneider, Pentax, KAF2, KAF and KA mount lenses.
