Nvidia enables HD DVD and Blu-ray movies with PureVideo HD technology.

Movie lovers can now build a PC to enjoy an HD DVD or Blu-ray experience with the release of new Nvidia ForceWare drivers featuring Nvidia PureVideo HD technology, the graphics company has announced. PureVideo HD technology combines high-definition video decode acceleration and post-processing to deliver extraordinary picture clarity, smooth video, brilliant color, and precise image scaling for high definition movies, Nvidia said.

LG.Philips LCD to debut HDTV LCD panels and e-book display at FPD International.
LG.Philips LCD will showcase several widescreen HDTV LCD panels and a 10.1" electronic book reader (e-book) display at FPD International 2005 (October 19-21) in Yokohama, Japan. The company will showcase 37-, 42- and 47" widescreen full high definition (1920 by 1080) TFT LCDs for HDTVs and multimedia displays.
