NoMachine Unveils Unprecedented Web Application Player

NoMachine"s NX Web Player provides the ease and mobility of connecting to an NX session from anywhere over the Internet ROME, ITALY, November 23, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- NoMachine, leading provider of enterprise-class solutions for secure remote access and application delivery, today announced a new addition to the product lineup of its upcoming NX 4.0.0. NX Web Player - an unprecedented tool that empowers users to run their NX session from any Internet-enabled device, with no need to install client software - transforms how NX users connect to their remote data. Supporting complete mobile connectivity, NX Web Player enables users to access their desktops and the full features and functionality of any desktop application, from laptops, cell phones, or iPhones. NX Web Player is able to run and display any remote desktop. Users can get their desktop from everywhere, run their applications, and pick up their remote sessions even when on the road - all through their Web browser. Presenting a user-friendly Web client GUI, NX Web Player visually prompts users to connect to the NX Server. Once authorized and connected, the user has access to their fully-featured desktop just as they would if they were connecting via the traditional NX Client. Expected to be made available as a free download when NX 4.0.0 is released in 2009, it differs from NoMachine"s web tools NX Web Companion and NX Builder because there is no need for software to be installed locally. There is also no need for user configuration: users can simply access their desktop from a browser which supports JavaScript, including the embedded browser used on most mobile devices. This makes NX Web Player the first product of the latest NX suite of tools to be suitable for previously unsupported platforms such as WinCE tablets and other Pocket PCs. "Customers are already very excited about our latest addition. With this new web tool, NoMachine is offering them the opportunity to make their already mobile workforce even more mobile," says Sarah Dryell, NoMachine Business Development Manager. "The application was designed with a radical approach: to be fully web-based with only a standard browser required for access. With NX Web Player we have literally empowered our customers with access to their information at any time, from any place, and more importantly, with any device." About NX Web Player NX Web Player is planned to be released with NX 4.0.0 in 2009.
