InLoox 5, the project management solution integrated with Microsoft Outlook

New version supports SQL, Microsoft Project and SharePoint Server MUNICH, GERMANY, November 06, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Outlook software specialists IQ medialab GmbH are launching a new version of their project management software InLoox. This solution is fully integrated with Microsoft"s email and groupware program Outlook. InLoox provides a stable and reliable project control center point right at the center of things and is remarkably simple to use. Straightforward project planning and control inside Outlook The most important aspects of the functionality are Project planning, activity and time recording, document archiving, project accounting and analysis, using a powerful report generator. For project teams there is now SQL for data storage, enhancing scalability and reliability. InLoox works together with Microsoft SQL, Oracle and the popular Open Source alternative MySQL. Worthy of emphasis are the accurate import and export interfaces to Microsoft Project, which enable the user to exchange project plans in both directions without fuss and independently of data formats. Classical document management functions are also fully integrated into InLoox. Structured storage of project documentation is also possible on a file or sharepoint server. Documents placed there are recognized by the software and made available to all in Outlook. The integration with Outlook simplifies familiarization with InLoox and other important functions such as the clearly structured task overview are always available. Work packages are displayed across projects are accessible for all team members and project managers right next to the calendar or task list. At the touch of a key, InLoox will transfer master data to a new Outlook task or appointment. Information can be posted directly from the Outlook inbox or calendar to a specific project. Team members and project managers are thus connected with each other in a straightforward and efficient network. Multilingual capability and roll-based authorization reach a new category of user.
