Head Up Displays For Cars.

Futuba Japan has announced a Heads-Up Display (HUD) for cars. It consists of a 128x64 LCD projector that displays such information as speed and itinerary (if hooked up to GPS) directly on the vehicle"s windshield. The projector has a record luminance of 40,000 nits in order to guarantee legibility even in full sunlight. No marketing date has been announced yet, and it"s not known whether the device will be qualified by the auto industry, traditionally cautious about new technologies and their reliability.

Such ZET products would allow for a much wider operational temperature range, resulting in faster clock rates and higher performing computers.
