Core 2 Duo processors now included in Tom's Hardware's CPU charts.

Tom"s Hardware has updated its interactive CPU charts with the latest processors from Intel and AMD. Intel"s Core 2 Duo has reshuffled the ranking, which lets you compare two processors in 38 different benchmarks side-by-side. The Core 2 Extreme X6800, the Core 2 Duo models E6700 and E6600, as well as AMD"s socket AM2-based processors have joined the listing. Alienware announces desktop PC with Intel's latest quad-core processor.
Miami (FL) - Alienware said it "will" launch Intel"s second quad-core desktop processor, the 2.4 GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600, on its Area-51 7500 desktop system. At the time of this writing, the company has not made this option available on its website; a spokesperson was not available for comment or further information when this new processor may become available.
